Kathy Vossler
Kathy Vossler is a fifth generation Houstonian and Daughter of the Republic of Texas, with local roots dating back to her family home in downtown Houston in 1846. She has been an entrepreneur for most of her adult life, working in the Restaurant, Real Estate and Retail industries before settling on her lifelong ambition to practice law. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1993, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston, and went on to earn her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law School, graduating cum laude in 1997.
All this she did while raising her three children.
Kathy has numerous academic accolades, including the Delphian scholarship, the Judge Mary Bacon award, the Golden Key National Honor Society, Dean’s List the Dorothy Schlayer Leadership Award, the Moores Foundation Scholarship, the Dean’s Scholarship, the Public Interest Fellowship, The Houston Chapter Award of the Associates of Legal Administrators, membership in Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Societies, Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society, and co-chair of Best of America.
Kathy is licensed in both state and federal courts, is a certified mediator, a certified family law mediator, and a financial advisor.
Kathy is an avid photographer, an enthusiastic Astros fan and a longtime supporter of Houston Cougar football. She is active in the community, volunteering through the Houston Bar Association, and is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as well as other community organizations. She recently graduated from Leadership Houston, Class XXXIV, where, as project co-chair, she was awarded the prestigious Patrice Johnson Award.
